Movie Magazine Front Cover Draft Layouts

The sections of this front cover draft that I will use in my final product are as follows. Sticking to the typical conventions of most magazine genres and not just movie, I will be placing the name of the magazine towards the top of the cover and crossing the whole page. I will position the main image of the cover in the centre of the page to attract the viewers towards the magazine as the image is the first thing the audience will notice. I will also place the block for hooks and posters at the bottom of the cover. Although I will position the information block beside the image, this will be placed on the opposite to this draft. The webpage, price and issue and barcode will also be placed in different positions on the cover.

The structural aspects of this front cover draft that I will use in my product are as follows. Once again the positioning of the main image in the centre and the magazine name towards the top across the page remain, also I will the position of the barcode in the bottom corner due to it being insignificant in the audience attraction process so it is out of the way of the more important aspects. I will also retain the idea of placing the information block to the right side of the main image. I will move the position of the posters block to besides the main image and also the webpage, price and issue block.

All sections of the front cover draft will be placed into my final product, besides one. The main image and magazine name will be the most central as they are the most important parts of cover in attracting the viewers. The one change is that I will position the posters block at the bottom of the cover. The webpage, price and issue block will be placed under the name of the magazine as viewers will wish to know the price of the magazine as soon as they see the name to compare it to other products. Once again I will retain the positioning of the barcode in the bottom corner as it is the least siginificant part as does not need to attract viewers in the middle of the cover. Finally, I will also place information all over the page on inside articles and not just in one box.
