Product Analysis - Tom Hutchin

Front cover

For the front cover of my product in terms of color i decided to use the color red simply because the color itself is rather eye catching and contrasts well with the black and white font which is placed over it. In terms of language i have used short sentences and one word headlines in order to emphasize the topics and to make sure that a reader could just skim read cover and understand what is included in the product. I have used a mainly white background because important information like the price, date and the bar code can be easily viewed
I have used an image which relates to the main article of the the magazine and the text below (which is also related to the main article)

Contents Page

For the Contents page of my product in terms of color i decided to use bright colors such as blue, red and yellow to give the page a non serious feel to it and by changing the color of the font it contrasts well to the background color to make it more eye catching.

I used a band index on the contents page because it is easy to understand and quick for the reader to find the band that they are interested in. I have used an image that relates to the main article in the magazine this should hopefully keep the reader interested and wanting to read on .

Double Page Spread
For the double page of my product i have kept with the bright colors which reflect the light heartiness of the article and the artist who is . This article is set out as an interview. The dialogue which is spoken by the interviewer is highlighted in yellow and the artist in white so it is clear who the people are. The article is set out in vertical columns so it is easy to read, and the images related to the article help to keep the reader interested in the text.
