Apatow Productions

Apatow Productions, established by writer, producer and director Judd Apatow in 1999, is a film production company mainly producing comedy movies based in Los Angeles California. Judd Apatow has been involved in some of the most famous comedy films of the last ten years, including 'Superbad', 'The 40 Year Old Virgin' and 'Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.'

Paramount Pictures

Paramount Pictures is an American film production company based in Hollywood California and established by Adolph Zukor in 1912. The company and its sister television production Paramount Television have produced and been involved in some of the most successful comedy films and programmes of the last ten years, including 'Team America: World Police', 'Napoleon Dynamite' and 'Two and a Half Men.'

Universal Pictures

Universal Pictures is an American film production company based in Universal City California and a motion picture production and distribution arm of Universal Studios which was founded in 1908 by Carl Laemmle. The company have produced and distributed many of the most famous British comedy movies of the last 20 years including 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' and 'Notting Hill' and also distribute many of Apatow Productions films.

I think the most appropriate institution to produce my product would be Apatow Productions, mainly because of the previous history of films made by Judd Apatow and his team. Most of the films produced by the company and also distributed by Universal Pictures and Columbia Pictures involve aspects of humour that are included in my product. As well as a history related to certain aspects of my product, Apatow Productions has received backing and funding from sections of large mass market conglomerates including Universal and Columbia but remains a company that produces all of their own material and continues to use the same type of team and genres. This is an advantage because they are more likely to produce films relating to their previous products that could involve their own team of directors and editors and they can place all of their attention on the specific genre without being distracted by others.
